How To Use Grease Gun?
Stop 1: Remove any old grease or dirt from the fitting.
The first thing you’ll need to do is remove any old grease or dirt from the fitting. If there’s too much build-up, you may need to use a wire brush or some other type of cleaning tool.
Stop 2: Lubricate the Fitting
Once the fitting is clean, apply a generous amount of lubricant to it. Make sure to get all sides of the fitting – this will help ensure a good seal and prevent leaks.
Stop 3: Insert Gun into Fitting
Carefully insert the gun into the fitting until it’s fully seated. You should feel resistance as you push it in – that means it’s properly attached and ready for use.
Make sure not to force it in if it doesn’t seem like it will fit – you could damage the fitting or gun if you do.
Stop 4: Spray Away!
Pull back on the trigger to start spraying lubricant, and then continue until the grease starts flowing freely from the nozzle. If there’s not enough pressure building up in front of your tip, remove it and check again for dirt build-up.
If everything is clear and clean, give it a try once more; chances are that this time some will come out properly. Once grease runs smoothly through your tubing (without any air bubbles), stop pulling on the trigger and keep an eye on where all of that lube ends up going – make sure it isn’t leaking onto anything important! When finished with use, we recommend you wipe down the gun and store it in a safe place.
Remember to always read and follow the safety instructions that come with your tools. And as always, when working with machinery or automotive parts – especially if you’re not familiar with them – consult an expert before getting started. Thanks for reading!
